Think and then click Post

One of the very best things about the Internet is its democratic nature when it comes to content. But it pays to remember that what you post on #socialmedia is tied to you forever. Work with foresight. Think up of possible reactions to your comments before hitting Post. Are you willing/capable of dealing with the ramifications of your words? Remember that everything and anything you say could come back with your name flashing in neon at a later date. So if anything could be misconstrued to reflect poorly on you - DON’T post it.
Anything you choose to upload, tweet, reblog, or "like", is going into an endless record. One that will be very, very hard to erase. You may speak your mind after verifying facts and discuss things that are important to you but only insensitive and acceptable ways.
Asking yourself questions like 'How will others reciprocate?' and 'what do I hope to accomplish with my comments?', will make sure that momentary boredom or frustration does not cost you your reputation on social media.
May we be responsible with this powerful media at our fingertips.
