When the Stars shine

A celebrity remains a celebrity as long as their fans recall them. #Socialmedia provides them a platform to engage with their fans by promoting their latest project, sharing current news about themselves, etc.
It is a medium to capture the attention of people by sharing engaging videos, images, and content featuring themselves. The constant feedback in the form of likes, shares, re-tweets, and shares give them a measure of how their current work appeals to the masses. The number of followers they acquire is an indication of rising or dwindling popularity.
There are many drawbacks to this, though. #Celebrities are no longer protected from trolls and have to bear the brunt of brutal and unwarranted feedback. There is an alarming lack of privacy as everything they do be instantly shared for the consumption of the voyeuristic public.
Celebrities have learned to distinguish between constructive feedback and hateful vitriol and continue to expand their brands by maintaining a delicate balance.
